Our Story
Since 2022, we have been freeze drying fresh ingredients and candy. We sold candy under a different name and we enjoyed the process, however, we had a fire in March of 2022. Forcing us out of our home for several months, thus pausing our candy business. In that time, several other producers began making and selling candy around our little community. This just wasn’t going to do. Besides that, if I’m being completely honest here…candy is a little boring and doesn’t inspire the creative part of my brain.
I was at the local day spa, chatting with the proprietor about pulling the candy and discussing areas that I could try to inhabit in the market. She picked up a mason jar from a company that produces alcohol infusion jars/kits and asked if I could do something like it. I looked this kit over. In my head I was calculating and working it around. I looked at her and said “Challenge accepted”
With that, I knew that if I was going to do this, I needed to do it better. Mason jars have been used and they are handy but I wanted something better. Something people see in their refrigerator and think “Oh, yes, there you are! You pretty, delicious concoction”. I also knew that with the freeze dryer, I could get more flavor and more nutrients into those jars. What we wound up with, is something that I am incredibly proud of.
We use fresh ingredients that we freeze dry at the peak of their flavor profile. Ensuring that the quality, flavor and nutritional value are maintained. We use non GMO vegan sugar that we flavor with ingredients that we make from the discarded parts of the fruits and vegetables.
We have fun and we love what we are doing here. Our humor is off color and a little crass but our products look fancy so most people don’t mind that humor. If they can relate they laugh, if they can’t, they look at the jar and think “That’s really pretty, I bet Aunt Missy hasn’t ever seen anything like this” and they buy them for gifts.
